HOLISTIC DENTISTRY
In our practice we follow the SMART protocol derived from that of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. In brief it involves the use of nitrile dam to isolate the tooth/ teeth we are working on, high suction evacuation and a separate air source for you to beathe. We also have the Swiss IQAir system of air filtration, which continuously cleans the air in the surgery. During the drilling phase of amalgam removal, we use an additional High Vac Evacuation filter, in order to minimise any potential for being exposed to mercury vapour.
